Film and TV Horses (originally under Janet Roger’s leadership) is now run by Sarah and Gary who have taken over following Janet’s retirement.
Sarah Lentle
trainer & rider
Sarah is a highly skilled horsewoman, with over 50 years of riding experience, having begun her equestrian journey at an early age.
Sarah was a key member of Janet Roger’s team for over 35 years, working closely with her across filming, television, and historical re-enactment projects. She trained in Horse Care and Management, achieving NVQ Levels 1–4, and brought a wealth of practical knowledge and dedication to every production.
Sarah has a particular passion for dressage, tent pegging, and hacking, and continues to be deeply involved in equestrian activities.

Gary Crosbie

Gary is an excellent horseman with 50 years riding experience, Gary has a deep understanding of horse behaviour, training techniques, and riding disciplines
Gary was a key member of Janet Roger’s team for over 35 years, working alongside her in filming, television, and historical re-enactment. An experienced rider, Gary has contributed to numerous films with his skilled riding and precision work. He has a particular enthusiasm for dressage, tent pegging, and hacking, and remains passionate about all aspects of equestrian performance.
